Air Filter FAQ

Do you provide test reports or certifications?

Yes. Aurashu provides comprehensive test reports and certifications for all air filters and HVAC products to ensure full transparency, quality assurance, and compliance with international standards. Each product batch is tested in strict accordance with performance benchmarks defined by ISO 16890, EN 779, and ASHRAE 52.2 standards. Our test reports include key performance parameters such as filtration efficiency (ePM1, ePM2.5, ePM10), airflow resistance, dust holding capacity, and initial/final pressure drop. These data verify that every filter meets or exceeds its specified grade and efficiency class. In addition, Aurashu provides factory quality inspection certificates, CE compliance documents, and where applicable, RoHS environmental certification and MSDS safety data sheets for export purposes. For cleanroom, pharmaceutical, or electronics industry applications, Aurashu can also offer third-party test reports and validation data from certified laboratories upon request. To support project-level requirements, Aurashu’s engineering and sales teams can prepare custom documentation packages, including performance summaries, product conformity declarations, and compliance statements for government or tender submissions. This strict certification and traceability system ensures that every Aurashu air filtration product delivers reliable performance, regulatory compliance, and customer confidence in diverse global applications.

Can the filters be cleaned and reused?

Whether an air filter can be cleaned and reused depends on its type, filtration material, and application environment. Aurashu offers both washable and disposable filter options designed to meet different user needs. For example, coarse and medium-efficiency filters (G1–M6) made from synthetic fiber or metal mesh can often be cleaned and reused several times. Cleaning should be done using compressed air, gentle vacuuming, or water rinsing, followed by complete drying before reinstallation. However, frequent cleaning may gradually reduce filtration performance, so filters should still be replaced when structural integrity or air resistance declines. On the other hand, fine, HEPA, and ULPA filters (F7–H14) are non-washable because their microfiber media and precision pleats can be easily damaged during cleaning. Attempting to wash or blow them may reduce efficiency and cause particle leakage, compromising air quality and safety. These filters must be replaced once they reach their rated final resistance or after extended service periods.Aurashu provides clear cleaning and maintenance instructions for each filter type and offers professional guidance to help customers determine when cleaning is appropriate and when replacement is necessary. For environments with strict hygiene standards—such as hospitals, laboratories, and cleanrooms—regular replacement with certified filters is always recommended to ensure compliance and system reliability.

What is the service life of the air filter?

The service life of an air filter depends on its type, efficiency grade, environment, and operating conditions. In general, coarse and medium-efficiency filters (G1–M6) have a lifespan of about 3–6 months, while fine filters (F7–F9) typically last 6–12 months. HEPA and ULPA filters—used in cleanrooms, laboratories, or hospitals—usually serve for 12–24 months under stable conditions. However, in dusty, humid, or polluted environments, replacement intervals should be shorter. To ensure efficient performance, Aurashu recommends performing regular inspections and monitoring pressure drop levels. When resistance rises above the specified limit, the filter should be replaced promptly to avoid reduced airflow and higher energy consumption.Aurashu’s filters are made with high-durability synthetic fibers, advanced pleat design, and large dust-holding capacity, effectively extending service life while maintaining filtration efficiency. For different applications and operating conditions, our technical team provides personalized maintenance schedules and replacement guidance to help clients achieve consistent air quality, lower operating costs, and improved system reliability.

What systems are these filters suitable for?

Aurashu air filters are designed for a wide range of HVAC and air purification systems across industrial, commercial, and residential environments. They are suitable for central air conditioning systems, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), cleanroom ventilation systems, and fresh air purification systems. In commercial buildings such as offices, hotels, shopping centers, and airports, Aurashu filters help maintain healthy indoor air quality and ensure energy-efficient system operation. In industrial applications—such as pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturing, food processing, and precision laboratories—high-efficiency and HEPA-grade filters ensure compliance with strict cleanliness and safety standards by effectively removing fine dust, bacteria, and micro-particles. For hospitals and research facilities, Aurashu filters support controlled environments with medical-grade air purity. Additionally, the filters can be customized to fit special systems like negative-pressure isolation rooms or corrosion-resistant HVAC setups. Overall, Aurashu provides reliable filtration solutions compatible with diverse HVAC system configurations worldwide.

What filter materials do you use?

Aurashu uses a wide range of high-performance filter materials designed to ensure maximum filtration efficiency, durability, and air quality across various environments. The choice of material depends on the filter’s grade, application, and required performance level. For coarse and medium filters (G1–M6), Aurashu typically uses synthetic fiber media such as polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET), which offer strong dust-holding capacity, moisture resistance, and long service life. These materials are ideal for general ventilation and pre-filtration systems in commercial and industrial buildings. For fine filters (F7–F9), we use glass fiber media or composite synthetic materials with electrostatic charge treatment. These materials can efficiently capture smaller particles such as pollen, fine dust, and PM2.5, providing stable performance with low resistance and high energy efficiency. For HEPA and ULPA filters (H10–U17), Aurashu employs ultra-fine borosilicate glass fibers or PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membranes, which can capture 99.97–99.9995% of particles down to 0.3 microns or smaller. These materials are widely used in cleanrooms, healthcare facilities, and precision manufacturing.Additionally, Aurashu offers activated carbon filters that combine adsorption and filtration functions to remove odors, VOCs, and harmful gases, enhancing indoor comfort. All filter materials are compliant with RoHS and environmental safety standards, ensuring low environmental impact and sustainable performance.

What does the filtration grade of an air filter mean?

The filtration grade of an air filter represents its capability to capture airborne particles of various sizes, directly reflecting its performance and efficiency in air purification. Aurashu’s air filters are classified according to internationally recognized standards such as EN779, ISO 16890, and ASHRAE 52.2, ensuring compatibility with global HVAC systems and clean air requirements.Filter grades typically range from coarse (G1–G4) and medium (M5–M6) to fine (F7–F9) and high-efficiency (HEPA H10–H14 or ULPA). The higher the grade, the finer the particles the filter can remove—from visible dust and pollen to bacteria, smoke, and microscopic aerosols.Selecting the right filtration grade depends on the specific application:Coarse and medium filters are suitable for general ventilation and pre-filtration.Fine filters are ideal for office buildings, shopping malls, and industrial facilities requiring higher air quality.HEPA and ULPA filters are used in cleanrooms, laboratories, pharmaceutical production, and hospitals where ultra-clean air is essential.Understanding filter grades helps maintain indoor air quality, protect HVAC components, and improve system efficiency and longevity.
